Install the Google Chat Desktop App

Use the following instructions to install the Google Chat desktop app:

[Windows PCs]

1. Go to https://chat.google.com/download/
2. Click "Get The App"
3. If prompted, log in to your Google account using your Lane e-mail address and password.
4. Look for the App Installation button on the right side of the address bar, and click it:
   
   Edge:
   
   
   Chrome:
   
   
   Firefox:
   
    
5. Click "Install"

[Macintosh]

1. Go to https://chat.google.com/download/
2. Click "Get The App"
3. If prompted, log in to your Google account using your Lane e-mail address and password.
4. Follow the steps according to your browser:
   
   Chrome:
   Click the Install button on the right side of the address bar:
   
   Click "Install"
   
   Safari:
   Click the Share button in the upper right corner of the window:
   
   Click "Add to Dock"
