Using Local Login with Mosyle Auth (Person Icon)

If your Mac is set up for network login (i.e. you typically sign into Mosyle Auth with your network credentials), follow these steps to switch and sign in as a local or cached mobile account:

1. At the login screen, look for the person icon in the top right corner.

2. Click the person icon. The login prompt changes.

3. Enter your local username and password (or cached mobile credentials) in the fields shown.

4. Click Log In or press Return.

Notes

• You must have a local or cached mobile account created prior (ask IT if you’re unsure).

• If your usual option is Mosyle Auth Active Directory Sign-On, you must use this method when working offline or if network login is unavailable.

• For security, local and network passwords are managed separately.

Troubleshooting & Support

If you do not see a local login option, have forgotten both your password and Expresslane credentials, or encounter unexpected errors:

  • Use the forgot password option at Expresslane first.
  • Contact the IT Helpdesk for assistance.
  • Describe which step in this guide is not working and include any on-screen errors.
