Vertex install (SSS department)

Vertex Installation

Vertex Server Name: ap-vertex-01

For New Install (Old Version of Vertex not installed):

1. Open Windows Explorer & navigate to: \\ap-vertex-01\Vertex\Rehab Management\Bin

2. Locate “VertexMenu.exe” & Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut) & open that new shortcut

3. Double Click on the VertexMenu - Shortcut

4. If it can’t find the Crystal Runtime install, click yes to install it (when prompted, click next & then finish)

5. Click Next

6. Click Finish

7. Click on Tools>Client install

8. Click Next

9. Put in the server name (\\ap-Vertex-01), then Next

10. For install location leave Default & Click Next

11. For Start Menu location leave default & Click Next

12. Click Install

13. Choose English

14. On the “Firebird Setup Wizard” click Next

15. Accept the EULA & click Next

16. On the Firebird information screen click next

17. For install location leave Default & Click Next

18. On “Select Components” leave Defaults & Click Next

19. For Start Menu location leave default & Click Next

20. On the “Select Additional Tasks” screen do the selections below:
    1. -On this screen UNCHECK the 1^st (Use the Guardian to control the server) and last (Generate client library as GDS32.dll for legacy app. Support?) boxes then click next>install (see screenshot below:

21. Click Next

22. Before clicking “finish” UNCHECK “After installation – What Next?”

23. Click Finish

24. Click Finish

This step is ONLY for new install…not upgrade from a previous version

Open Windows Explorer & navigate to: \\ap-vertex-01\Vertex\Rehab Management\Client

Copy “GDS32.dll” to the C:\Windows\syswow64 & C:\Windows\System32 folders
