Troubleshooting College Account Login Issues


Understanding Login Issues for MyLane (https://my.lanecc.edu/

If you enter your L number and password into the MyLane/CAS login and login successfully but you still cannot log in to something else then the issue is with the system. However, if you enter your L number and password into the login correctly, and are unable to login, then the issue is with your account and resetting your password is a solution.

Systems such as myLane, Moodle, Google Workspace, and Gmail accounts all share the same authentication password. If you change or reset your college password, your password in many of LCC's connected systems will automatically be updated as well.

How to Change or Reset Your College Password
Go to myLane's Forgot Password page or click on "Forgot your password? " from the login page and follow the steps on the Welcome to the Password Reset Service page.
Reset your password following the password requirements of:

  • Length of 12-16 characters
  • Must include at least 1 number
  • Must include at least 1 letter 
  • No special characters.

 It can take up to 30 mins for all the systems to sync. After that, Login again to MyLane using your new password.
