📩 How to Report Suspicious Emails Using the Phish Alert Button (PAB) in Gmail
If you receive an email that seems phishy, spammy, or just not quite right, use the Phish Alert Button (PAB) to report it. This helps protect our college community and alerts IT to potential threats.
📁 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Gmail in Google Chrome
Make sure you're signed into your work Gmail account using the Google Chrome browser.
2. Open the Suspicious Email
Click the email that looks suspicious.
⚠️ Do not click any links or download attachments.
3. Click the Phish Alert Button (PAB)
You can find the PAB in one of two places:

Top Toolbar (Chrome Extension):
Look for the red fishhook icon labeled "Phish Alert" above the email.

Right-Side Panel (Gmail Add-on):
Look for the "Phish Alert" icon in the Gmail add-on panel on the right side of the screen.

4. Confirm the Report
After clicking the button:

A confirmation window will pop up.

Click "Yes", "Phish Alert" or "Report" to send the message to IT/Security.
The email will be:
