VPN Instructions for LCC Macs with Mosyle VPN Profile

Note: If you have not yet been approved for VPN or unsure of your VPN status, please see the VPN access request article here.

If you have an LCC issued Apple laptop or desktop computer, VPN should automatically be configured for you after the approval process is complete.  To access pre-configured VPN on your LCC device, identify which Mac OS version you are running and follow the steps below:


Connecting to the LCC VPN on macOS (Ventura, Sonoma, and Sequoia)

  • macOS 13 (Ventura)

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma)

  • macOS 15 (Sequoia)

  • LCC-issued macOS devices managed via Mosyle


πŸ” Pre-Configured VPN for LCC Devices

If you are using an LCC-issued device, the VPN is already pre-configured for you.

To connect:

Locate the VPN icon in the top-right menu bar of your screen. 

Click the icon and select:

Connect LCC VPN

When prompted, enter your credentials:

  • Account Name: Staff AD username (not L#)
  • Password: Your ExpressLane password
  • Click OK to connect.

❓ Don’t See the VPN Icon?

If the VPN icon is not visible in your menu bar, follow the steps below based on your macOS version:

For macOS 13 (Ventura), macOS 14 (Sonoma) and macOS 15 (Sequoia):

Click the Apple menu () > System Settings

In the sidebar, click Control Center

Scroll down to VPN

Click the dropdown menu next to VPN and choose: Show in Menu Bar

πŸ“Œ Note: macOS 15 introduces small layout changes in System Settings, but the VPN toggle remains in the Control Center section.

  • VPN configuration is handled automatically via Mosyle for LCC-managed devices.

  • If you encounter any issues connecting to the VPN or do not see the LCC VPN listed, please contact the Help Desk.
