Everything you need to know about TitanPrint
What is TitanPrint?
TitanPrint is the new printing system put in place on March 7, 2016. All Lane Community College students and staff use it to print and copy documents at the Main Campus. This system is secure and coinless, using a virtual $10 allowance taken from a student's Technology Fee every term. Students can add additional funds to their account by paying online through the online portal, Touchnet.
Print Centers
Print Centers are located in many buildings on Lane's campus. When a student wants to print a document from (for example) a library computer, that computer will send a request to a queue accessible from any Print Center on campus. The document in queue is only accessible by the L-Number and ExpressLane password of the student who sent the document to print.
When a student first arrives at the Print Center, they will walk up to one of the PCs labeled Print Release Station. Here they will be greeted by a Login Screen. After they enter their L-Number and Password, a printing queue will appear with the following information:
- Current Balance
- Time the Request was Sent
- User L-Number
- Printer IP-Address
- Document Name
- Machine #
- Number of Pages
- Cost to Print
- Action: Print or Cancel
- Log-Out (this will happen automatically after 15 seconds)
When the student selects Print, the document will print to one of the printers in the room.
After 4 hours, a student's queue will delete all past requests. This makes sure students' documents are safe, and their queue is clean.
What is a TitanPrint Account?
Students can log into their TitanPrint account at TitanPrint page by using their L-Number and ExpressLane Password. Tabs located on the left side of the page allow a student to view:
- Summary: An overview of the account such as balance and spending history.
- Rates: Cost of different paper sizes and coloring.
- Redeem Card: Add credit to your account by purchasing a TitanPrint card from the Titan Store in the Center building and redeeming it here.

- Recent Print Jobs: Itemized list of all documents sent to the queue, and an option to submit a request for a refund in the case of a printer failure/error.
