Body

Scanning (Scan / Send)

Steps to scan & send:

  1. Tap Scan / Send (or similar icon) at the home screen / control panel.

  2. Choose Destination Type

    • Email

    • Network Folder (SMB)

    • FTP

    • USB memory

    • Internal Box / e-Filing (if enabled)

  3. Configure scan settings:

  4. Press Start to begin scanning.

  5. Confirm the job status / job logs to ensure the scan was delivered or saved.

Tips & notes:

  • Use the dual-scan feeder (DSDF) for duplex / multi-page originals for faster scanning.

  • Watch for network / permission issues when scanning to a shared folder (SMB). Credentials, firewall, path must be correct.

  • When scanning large jobs, using “Continuous Scan” mode helps avoid interruptions

  • If the file is very large, consider using compression or lower resolution to reduce size


Copying

How to make copies:

  1. Place the original(s) in the feeder (DSDF / RADF) or on the glass platen.

  2. Tap Copy on the control panel.

  3. Configure copy settings:

    • Color / B&W

    • Duplex / 2-sided output

    • Zoom / scaling (reduce / enlarge)

    • Density / image adjustment (lighter / darker)

    • Number of copies

    • Collate / sorting

  4. Press Start to execute the copy.

  5. Collect the output and check for any errors (paper jams, alignment, etc.).

Tips:

  • Use Auto Zoom or Fit to Page when originals and paper sizes differ.

  • For mixed originals, ensure the feeder and settings support different sizes or orientations.

  • If copies appear light or dark, adjust density or contrast settings.


Faxing (if equipped)

If your device has the fax option installed and configured, here’s how to use fax features:

  1. Tap Fax from the home screen.

  2. Enter the fax number using the touchscreen keypad or select from Address Book / One-Touch / Speed Dial.

  3. Adjust fax settings if needed:

    • Resolution / quality (Standard, Fine, Super Fine)

    • Duplex if sending 2-sided originals

    • Transmission settings (e.g. delayed send)

    • Broadcase / multiple destinations (if supported)

  4. Press Start to begin faxing.

  5. Monitor the job status or logs to confirm success or handle errors.

For incoming faxes, the device may be configured to print immediately, store in memory, or forward (depending on your setup).
