About Banner

Banner is the educational system or platform we use for myLane and other features. Banner has a database that holds all the files (L-numbers), instructors, courses, and information to allow students to register and instructors to view. This part of Banner deals with live operations that are visible to instructors, staff, and students.

Other features in myLane include recruiting and administration, student enrollment and retention, degree advising and faculty support, financial aid and processing, academic administration, student billing, and finance and accounting tools.

myLane is the portal used to interact with the Banner database. Students can access information here, enroll for courses, view grades, and various other features.

Another feature of Banner is ExpressLane. ExpressLane is mostly used by instructors which is a version of myLane that is simpler and much faster. It holds the more basic elements of myLane, such as:
-Enrollment and Student Financial Services: Registration, view grades, make payments.
-Financial Aid: Review Financial Aid application, student requirements, holds.
-Employee Services: Time sheets, benefits, pay-stubs W4.
-Personal Information: Update personal information, change password.
