Welcome to the Student Help Desk (SHeD) Online Support Center!

Welcome, at the Lane CC Student help desk you may seek out solutions to issues involving Moodle, MyLane, and other technical issues you may be facing as a student at Lane. We have many resources to help you find solutions to any of your technical problems.

  • First, you can check the "Knowledgebase" to find articles giving answers to common questions.
  • If you want immediate help, click the "Live Support" link on the left side of this page to chat with a SHeD Representative.  We are available from 8AM - 5PM every work day.
  • If we are not available, or if you need additional help, you can register with us above and "Submit a Ticket".  We will refer your ticket to the right person and track it to make sure your issue gets resolved.
  • If you want to talk to us in person, drop in room 122 on the first floor of building 2.

Students: Confused about Moodle?

Try our Moodle practice course: 
Intro to Moodle for Students

We have built a practice course in Moodle that teaches students how to use Moodle for their classes. It's called "Intro to Moodle for Students". Any student can enroll in this course and take part in activities to learn how to turn in assignments on Moodle, take quizzes, learn the layout of Moodle, and more.
